About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated, hardworking person to join our London-based, high-growth
health and beauty business to manage the Ecommerce team. The key brands are successful British
beauty brands both looking to expand and strengthen their engagement with key bricks & mortar
and online retail partners across the UK and Europe. While at different stages in their journey to
establishing partnerships these partnerships, both have major opportunities to grow and support
the strategic ambitions of the wider business.
Account Management/ Customer Relationships:
● Establish and maintain excellent relationships at all levels with key accounts and major
UK distribution partner, finding ways to surprise and delight customers to ensure
maximum attention and endorsement for their brands
● Accounts to include (not limited to): Boots, Look Fantastic, Argos, Superdrug and
Holland and Barrett
● Create and implement price promotional plans with retailers, directly and through
distribution partner, to drive sales around key sales events
● Uncover and assess potential customer marketing opportunities and create plans for
activation with retailers and Brand Manager. Full JBP responsibility
● Work with retailers and distributors to analyse stock needs, build forecasts and chase
orders
● Arrange regular meetings and plan key range review events in order to present progress
updates and sell-in new range opportunities in line with strategic objectives of the
brands
● Negotiate cost prices and various other promotional costs to deliver the best value
deals and opportunities, while maintaining healthy engagement from retailers in brands
● In line with strategic brand plans, secure launches of new products and range changes
to establish a wider retail footprint and greater exposure on retail shelves or online
catalogues.
● Proactively look for opportunities to improve costs, deliver marketing exposure cheaper
or cut back on promotional support while delivering revenue growth
● Manage and track sales performance, sell out and sell in alongside product/ category
performance
● Work with brand team to ensure all retailers are using correct assets and are ‘best in
class’ at all times
● Create/ Manage internal decks on commercial insights – monthly, quarterly and annually
Operational integration:
● Provide full forecast – stock and sales
● Work with the wider operations team to ensure stock availability and smooth order
processing and delivery to all key customer accounts
● Oversee the management of purchase orders from customers, ensuring they are clear
on any stock limitations or delays and that execution of B2B orders complies with
retailer expectations
● Work with Warehouse teams to expedite orders – end to end
● Manage returns and credits with the team
● Provide clear and constructive input on brand stock forecasting, using information
gathered from retailers and your own commercial understanding to account for changes
in sales out data and up-coming planned price and marketing promotions to ensure
accounts can always be supplied.
● Work with NPD team to support with customer feedback, pricing analysis and deadlines
● Manage new account set up end to end
Requirements
● Driven & self-motivated, a strong planner and well organised. ● Able to work independently to achieve results. ● Management of existing accounts and build new customer relationships. ● Proactive & opportunistic mind-set to be able to win buyers’ support and pick up on opportunities for their brands to solve retail challenges. ● A great team player, able to integrate and coordinate plans with the wider team selflessly to support them in their dual focus on delivering B2B and direct-to-consumer sales. ● A strong analytical and strategic thinker that can process data clearly and unemotionally, and make difficult decisions backed up by clear evidence and data ● Solve problems creatively for customers to balance the aims of the business while accommodating the key accounts needs ● A diligent worker, able to balance own priorities while supporting wider team efforts and helping make the work of key account buyers easier. ● 2-3 years minimum experience as a brand account manager for major UK retailer accounts – e.g. Boots, Superdrug and QVC etc, ideally in a related retail category such as beauty, healthcare, cosmetics ● Strong capabilities in Excel (intermediate level) / PowerPoint skills to underpin rigorous commercial data understanding and sales presentation skills. ● Office based 3x days per week, 2 days working from home or with customers (subject to business needs)
